Thesis WordPress Theme and custom_functions.php

by Paul Heath on March 5, 2010

If you ever try to edit this and make a mistake, your site is down!

Yes – pretty drastic and even if you correct the mistake in the editor, it retains the invalid code (out of view) – nice! So, no matter what you do in the editor, from this point forward, it always says invalid syntax – which of course will drive you nuts until you read the next sentence.

So, how to fix it? You have to upload a new custom_functions.php into the:

/wp-content/themes/thesis_16/custom/ directory, using FileZilla or your domain control panel.

If you don’t have a backup, you could either just upload an empty file, or keep making edits and uploading until it works again.
